Spiritual Commandos

Commandos...few in number, usually unannounced, they go into places on what are often secret missions. Sometimes what they are attempting can blow up in their faces. When they succeed, though, it is often the opening of a door of great opportunity for their forces.

There are spiritual commandos, as well. They are neither political nor military; they do not fight governments or institutions. They don't even fight people. Demonic spirits and doctrines are the only objects of their attacks. Violence is forbidden; they carry no weapon outside of the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. They travel light, they work as a team, and they don't care who gets the credit. They're after captives of Satan; their deliverance into the glorious light of the Gospel is what matters.

On Monday, Feb. 22, a "spiritual commando" mission will commence in another country. There is a contact; there is interest; signs that spiritual hostages are desirous of light and revelation –which, when acted upon, always leads to freedom. A small team is planning a "raid" right in the heart of a nest of snakes of false doctrine. Though they're going on a solely spiritual mission, it is a country known for its gang violence, murders, and kidnappings, so there is naturally an element of danger involved.

It could be a bust, a major expense with nothing to show for it –or it could be the start of something very big. There is great spiritual hunger in this country; we're taking manna and living water.

In the midst of many unknowns, one thing is certain: we can't do it in our own strength. We must have the anointing, discernment, wisdom, and power of the Almighty God whom we serve, and in whose Name we go.

Boots on the ground...

...And already there is much interest. Our main contact greeted the main Team member at the airport by running to him, jumping on him and crushing him in a bear hug, tears streaming down his face. 

And when the last Team member arrived tonight, he was immediately able to share the Plan of Salvation on the way from the airport!
